K.I.S.S. is an acronym that has been used as a reminder to us when we over complicate things. It stands for Keep It Super Simple. I can admit that I am guilty of coming up with complex answers when a simple solution will do. But, what about our relationships? Do we make them complicated, when they don’t have to be?

It’s not really complicated

Maybe that is why Facebook created a relationship status of “it’s complicated.” I don’t know how much the designers of Facebook know about relationships, but I do know sometimes less is more. Simplicity can be more effective than complexity.

In the video below, 3 simple requirements for a successful relationship are shared. The video itself follows the K.I.S.S. model, so it doesn’t get real elaborate in explaining the requirements. Although it is so simple, it says a lot.

Simple solutions and a solid foundation

I encourage you to take the same approach in your relationship. Don’t buy into the Facebook “it’s complicated” thing. Your relationship doesn’t have to be complicated. A simple foundation based on simple principles can go a long way in making your relationship successful. Watch the video, and share your thoughts in the comment section below.

Do you agree? Is this all that is required for a successful relationship? What would you add?

  1. What an artistic video. I think it’s a very good place to at least start, if not all of it. Communication is what will help individuals to love and be loved in better ways.
